I'm not afraid of storms, for I'm learning how to sail my ship.

economics at seven thirty in the morning doesn't scare me
wild mind circling wide-eyed thoughts the night before, does
still these wells of ideas require more work
and so, another go at dreamland

it's the time of year when trees are torn down
dressed in orange rings and chopped into trasportable pieces
how magical to see their insides
how tragic to see them fallen
i talk in orange circles, sometimes
round the middle of the sturdiest part
it's unlike me to run from the rain
but today i'd drive straight into the sun
i wish to grow out, but not covered in leaves
which is why i talk in circles,
ones that mark my destiny
so turn me into a stump before i cover up with leaves
nothings worth the energy it takes to hide
it's been a time of year to break down
and turn my load into transportable pieces
becides, fallen is only the beginning

lunch in a hand bag is the start to a more saturated existence in decision making. busy mornings and less entertaining afternoons have reminded me why I crave nine to five. it's scary moving forward. but here we are in this metaphor, deciding everyday our attitudes, and still managing to strive for the next. open and alive, eyes to our unlimited resource of what moves us, what keeps us going. even if it's only a dream to be completed, satisfied and living in our version of comfortable. dare you to be inspired by one thing each day. to learn another new thing about yourself each day. trust in what's happening, and know it's for a reason. find love. it transforms any idea of life into living every moment graciously and gratefully.

if could teach the stars a thing or two about warming up
i would say they should abandon their desolate place in the universe for one moment of warmth in the arms of another
an idea, and a cause, left hearts more open
i, the epidemic, am sweeping the nation with something new
though, it's prematurely mis-understood and interpreted, i go forth
so run away from me, to see what your missing and then look to the stars for warmth
let them hold you as you hold them
retrospect is your friend, common misconceptions your enemy
find your strength, use your name, and say what you mean
direct your musings to your muse, for she is growing more strong and greatful
